Apple recently introduced its Vision Pro headset at the Worldwide Developers Conference. The device marks Apple’s entry into the head-mounted devices market, combining virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies. The Vision Pro allows users to adjust their level of immersion and features an array of cameras, eye-tracking capabilities, and spatial audio. The headset is packed with impressive technical specifications, including a high-resolution display system. While the Vision Pro comes with a hefty price tag and some uncertainties remain, it represents Apple’s push towards creating an interoperable wearable ecosystem and could contribute to the development of the metaverse.
