Researchers from University of California have developed a software that can detect cancer from a single blood sample. It can also identify the cancer type the patient is suffering from. The software is pre-equipped with database of tumor epigenetics. The molecular pattern of DNA from the blood sample of the cancer patient is analyzed against the database. This will lead to early cancer detection, as the DNA from the tumor cells rushes into the blood at an early stage.
