The call comes amid Russia’s veiled threats of nuclear weapon use in Ukraine and North Korea’s missile tests. The use of even a limited number of nuclear weapons could have catastrophic consequences, potentially killing millions and leading to global climate disruption. The urgency of the current nuclear crisis is emphasized by this rare collaboration among medical journals.
