$2.1 billion is what UN demands for Yemen People


Due to the continuous phase of civil war in Yemen, nearly 2 million people faced famine threat. This has led to increased malnutrition, especially among the women and children. Nearly 460,000 children, who are under the age of 5 years, are at risk of dying due to severe diarrhea and pneumonia. The crisis areas also lack medical or hospital facilities that have resulted in unrecorded deaths. Hence, UN has appealed the nations worldwide to contribute 2.1 billion USD that can support for the basic necessities of the famine struck Yemen people.
