Structural Biology Research gets a New Boost at MIT

The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation sanctions a grant amount of $7.5 million to MIT for securing cryo-electron microscopy centre aiming at further boost to structural biology research. The advancements will help the researchers gain insights into the protein structures and its mechanisms, which can find application in drug development and understanding chemotherapy efficacy.  The foundation has also provided grant support to many other leading universities like the University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins University, University of Utah, University of Washington, and so on.
