Growing confusion over the term “Knowledge diplomacy”

Knowledge diplomacy is considered to be the tool that international higher education, research and innovation can use to strengthen the relations between and among countries. But the term has been facing confusion and has been perceived in different ways by international higher education researchers and professionals over the last year. Knowledge diplomacy means to bring the expertise and research of the higher education sector in partnership with other sectors or disciplines or actors, to address the pressing global issues that are beyond a single country’s capacity to resolve.
